Estimator & Project Coordinator
As the trusted recruitment partner of MM Hearn Coastal Construction, Cooper Hardiman is proud to bring this opportunity to market. MM Hearn are a well-established, highly regarded building company with over 44 years of history shaping South West Victoria, and this is a role worth knowing about.
The Role
This isn't JUST a desk job, and it's not just a site job either. As Estimator & Project Coordinator, you'll operate across both environments, moving between the office and the job site with a genuine, end-to-end understanding of each project you touch.
From preparing detailed cost estimates and BOQs through to overseeing site operations, interacting with subcontractors, and keeping projects on budget and on programme, you'll be across it all. You'll work with AI-powered estimating software, handle contract and tender documentation, liaise with a broad range of stakeholders, and support the director with financial visibility across the projects.
It's a role that rewards people who take ownership, think ahead, and bring both commercial judgement and practical construction knowledge to the table.
Who is MM Hearn Coastal Construction?

Locally owned and operated, they've completed over 1,100 projects, from bespoke custom homes and coastal residences to commercial builds. About You
You're someone who knows construction - you can read a plan, price a job, walk a slab, and manage the moving parts in between. You're comfortable in both the office and the field, and you take pride in doing things properly.
Specifically, you'll bring:
Solid residential (and/or commercial) construction knowledge
Proven estimating experience and a sharp eye for detail
Confidence with technology, and an openness to AI-powered tools
Strong communication skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities
A proactive, independent mindset, with a genuine team-first approach
A current driver's licence
