Leadership Insights Survey

We start with the premise that the people who are best able to provide feedback in relation to your leadership are those who observe and experience your behaviours in the workplace everyday. We use a comprehensive online survey which is sent via a dedicated link to you, your manager, and your direct reports. If you don’t have enough direct reports to achieve anonymity, you are invited to nominate others in the workplace with whom you work most closely.

Once the responses have been submitted, we analyse the feedback and compile it into a comprehensive personalised report that is sent to you via email which highlights your strengths and pinpoints areas for growth. It’s a clear, insightful snapshot of how your leadership is experienced by others.

Your 25+ page Leadership Insights Report will include an overview, commentary and graphical summaries that enable you to quickly explore and contrast your scores compared to those provided by your manager and your other nominated respondents. The report also includes:

  • Your scores at a glance for each of the six key leadership competencies.

  • A more detailed analysis and breakdown of each key competency and your scores for 54 behaviours associated with effective leadership.

  • .Specific actions you could take to improve in each competency as identified by you and your nominated respondents.

  • Recommendations for future growth and a template you can use to identify and action three key improvement areas based on your Leadership Insights Report.

Drawing on years of experience in leadership development through training, coaching and mentoring leaders, we’ve identified six key competency areas that define great leadership:

  • Self-Awareness and Personal Mastery

  • Ethical Leadership and Integrity

  • Effective Communication and Psychological Safety

  • Strategic Thinking and Adaptive Agility

  • Building Collaborative and Supportive Relationships

  • Delivering Results and Long-Term Value

The Leadership Insights Survey tests the extent to which others observe you engaging in behaviours which are linked to each of these six competencies. There is also the opportunity for participants to anonymously provide specific feedback to you relating to each of the key competency areas.

Each respondent will need around 15 - 25 minutes to complete the survey itself.  Whilst alternate timelines can be negotiated with you, we recommend allowing approximately 2 weeks from when first nominating your preferred respondents to allow all respondents to complete the survey. Typically, we will then analyse your results and provide you with your personalised report within five business days following receipt of the final submission.

This process offers real value — both personally and organisationally.

For you, it’s a chance to see your leadership through the eyes of others. You’ll gain a well-rounded view of your capabilities, uncover any blind spots, and build greater self-awareness. Your report will give you clear, actionable targets for professional development.

For organisations, investing in the development of your leaders and seeking the feedback of your staff is one of the single most effective ways you can aid staff retention and drive better performance. Leaders who engage with this process often see improvements in team dynamics and culture, better collaboration, and improved overall performance.

We recommend you include your direct manager and any staff who report directly to you. There is no limit to how many direct reports you may nominate. If you manage a very small team and wish to include additional colleagues to preserve the anonymity of respondents, we encourage you to choose those colleagues with whom you work most closely.

The cost for your personalised Leadership Insights Survey and comprehensive report is $920 + GST. However, if your organisation is enrolling multiple participants, discounted pricing may be available.
